ABC of Wisconsin Adds Michael McDonald to Apprenticeship Staff

[Madison, Wisc…] Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin announced the hiring of Michael McDonald on Tuesday as an education coordinator.

“Michael is a welcome addition to our education team,” said ABC of Wisconsin Apprenticeship Director Leigh Emrick. “The services provided by ABC of Wisconsin are extremely important to developing a future workforce that is knowledgeable, hard-working and dedicated to safety and quality.”

Before joining ABC of Wisconsin, McDonald was a long-term substitute teacher at the Beaver Dam School District and worked for the UW-Extension. He is a graduate of Carthage College, with a degree in economics.

“I look forward to working with the talented individuals in our apprenticeship programs,” McDonald said. “With nearly 1,000 apprentices, I will continue to ensure they have everything needed to be successful in the construction industry.”

McDonald will serve the Fox Valley and La Crosse regions.

From a modest start by six Baltimore contractors in 1950, ABC has enjoyed a growing membership, now totaling more than 22,000 firms nationally and over 800 in the Wisconsin chapter, each dedicated to the principles of free enterprise. These beliefs translate into a healthy, competitive and professional climate, the results of which are proudly reflected in ABC member’s construction accomplishments.
