For the past 33 years, the ABC of Wisconsin Apprenticeship & Training Trust has showcased the skills of top apprentices in Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing with the ABC of Wisconsin Skill Competition. These apprentices will be participating in a two-hour written exam and a four-hour hands-on practical exam. Winners of this competition will go on to represent Wisconsin at the National Craft Championships in March.

To help offset the cost of the competition, each employer is asked to pay a $125 competitor registration free (which includes competitor meals).
Prizes & Scoring
Instruction Credit
Eight hours of Unpaid Related Instruction credit is given for ABC of Wisconsin’s Skill Competition (no credit is given for the ABC National Craft Championship).
Guests
The competition is open for viewing, and we encourage you to invite your family, friends and co-workers. As the competition nears, more information will be provided for guests to register.

COVID-19 Protocols
ABC of Wisconsin recognizes that COVID-19 safety and health protocols continue to change. ABC of Wisconsin will publish the protocols that will be used at SkillComp in mid-January. Those protocols will be consistent with guidance from local health officials.
