Watts Hill Apartments

Watts Hill is a $10.5 million design/build, four-story, wood-framed building in Madison offering 80 apartments and underground parking. The ageless design boasts a unique and rich combination of timber framing, metal roofing, board/batten composite siding with cast stone veneer. McGann Construction used conceptual schedules on occupancy needs and requirements to ensure phasing was planned out and addressed early in the preconstruction process. As the occupancy date neared, the team was forced to solve backordered material issues with temporary or alternate materials. Despite a tight schedule, it opened on time and on budget in May 2018.
