Urbana Apartments

The five-story, 79-unit market-rate Ubrana apartment building is located in a very high-traffic area on Madison?s west side. Features include sleek, modern finishes, large indoor and outdoor community spaces, Zoom rooms, coffee bar/lounge, a fitness center and indoor parking. Construction began two weeks after drawings were issued. The project started with demolition of an old bank building, then a quick jump on foundations and the wood framing began within 10 weeks of the start. In addition to the tight schedule, there were multiple manpower and material shortages that were caused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Urbana?s tight site presented operational and logistics challenges, including installation of the hydro mobile used for masonry and the loading and unloading of materials. The project was delivered early with a very minimal punch list.
