University Hospital A/7-C/7 Roof Replacement

This 17,300-square-foot roof section at the UW Health complex included the demolition and removal of an existing ballasted roofing system and the installation of a new roofing system of decorative pea gravel over a torch-applied roofing system and fully-adhered insulation. The project was completed by Pioneer Roofing, LLC with weekend crane use only and tight site logistics, which made material handling and waste removal a challenge. Crews completed approximately 95 percent of the work amidst sensitive hospital operations, including the removal of the existing rock ballast and roofing system and the recycling of the existing roof materials.
