The Bank of New Glarus Monroe Branch is a full-service retail bank with an inviting community room and a financial advisor/planner tenant space, both before you even get to the expansive, naturally lit, graciously appointed lobby. Underground are helical pier assemblies, oversized footings, and sub-slab vapor mitigation system to remedy the sins of previous generations of users. For environmental friendliness, the entire building slab is warmed via a zoned hydronic system and snowmelt tubing extends out into the main and employee entrance sidewalks. The roof sports a photovoltaic array, and the parking lot has one of only two EV chargers in the city. High-efficiency horizontal furnaces are tucked in the structure above the ceiling. This design kept energy costs low and kept outside site lines clean. There are three drive-up lanes; one with an ITM to reflect current banking trends. The exterior by design uses long life cycle durable materials to provide a maintenance free, beautiful, and weather tight envelope for decades to come. The landscaping was professionally designed and includes a computer-controlled irrigation system, lit flagpole, and tasteful signage. It is situated on the busiest corner of Monroe in scenic Green County Wisconsin.
