Promega Corporation Chappelle Manufacturing Center

When Promega’s Global Planning Committee decided to bring this project to Wisconsin, Chappelle Manufacturing Center (CMC), came to life. Meeting Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) H-2 and H-3 ratings, this multi-faceted chemistry production facility produces the small molecule components used in Promega’s manufacturing and experimenting processes. Nearly half of the building is used to support the mechanical process systems for large, small, and kilo scale manufacturing. Designed for expansion, this building has many sustainable features, such as a double-glass wall system around the office portion of the building, which is used to maximize the temperature of the interior of the building, and a rainwater recovery system for the mechanical cooling and heating of water. Using a combination of real stone exterior walls, contrasting brick colors, glass windows and metal accents, the building symbolizes the modern and futuristic capabilities of molecular manufacturing.
