New Perspective Ballpark Commons Senior Living Facility by Stevens Construction Corp. is in the Ballpark Commons Development in Franklin. It offers independent living, assisted living and memory care. The 182,000-square-foot, wood-framed structure has 103 apartment style senior living units, 36 memory care units, central commons areas and underground parking. Unique features include a two-story octogen library and two-story lobby, along with high-end finishes, such as custom millwork, interior masonry and special order tile. Construction began in December with freezing ground followed by a wet spring during foundation work, not to mention unsuitable soil conditions. Special considerations were made for the indoor pool and commercial kitchen, each requiring unique materials and extensive coordination with the installation teams and MEP design teams. Final inspections were difficult to schedule because of COVID-19. Most inspections were done virtually.
