Hatch Distilling Company

Hatch Distilling Co. is a craft distillery unique to Door County with a visual impression for passing tourists. The facility needed to be highly-efficient for the distillation process and cost-effective for a newly-formed business. Keller met this design challenge utilizing two interlocked pre-engineered buildings and a small wood frame structure. This allowed the building to have different heights, roof slopes and exterior cladding reminiscent of old distilleries. Quality control was accomplished using 3D modeling. Scheduling was the biggest challenge as several large snow storms forced Keller to modify and update scheduling on the project. However, the project was still completed on time and on budget.
