Great Lakes Energy Education Center, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College

The Great Lakes Energy Education Center at NWTC was designed on a tight budget to be zero net energy capable, with annual energy consumption equal to the renewable energy generated on site. Complete Cover, the insulating division of Performance Firestop, completed mechanical insulation, as well as through penetration firestopping of the HVAC system in the facility. Insulation work included geothermal heating/cooling, hot and chilled water supply and return, refrigeration liquid, suction and hot gas piping, expansion tanks and air separators and geothermal pump and heating hot water pumps. The facility itself serves as a teaching tool for faculty and students.
