Exact Sciences – NEXUS One Laboratory and Warehouse

Exact Sciences, a global life sciences and cancer diagnostics company, undertook a $350 million capital investment effort for multiple projects across the country, including the NEXUS One building located at its Madison, Wisconsin campus. Faith Technologies was chosen by general contractor, J.H. Findorff, as the electrical contractor on this important project, which looked to add 1,300 new jobs to the region. Faith Technologies has been part of more than a dozen major projects with Exact Sciences, based on our experience in the life science, laboratory and pharmaceutical industries, and was involved early on as an integral partner in the overall engineering and design of these facilities. Our scope of work on this project included lighting installation, lighting controls, laboratory power, mechanical power, one-line distribution, power monitoring and metering, fire alarm systems, access control, security cameras and emergency communication systems. Many technologies utilized on the project incorporated innovative processes. Electrical metering and energy management systems were used during both the design and construction, as an expansion of Exact Sciences’ current systems. Automation processes were also incorporated into their facilities to help improve processes and make them even more efficient, as well as to support quality control.
