ABC of Wisconsin member jobsites should pause for COVID-19 Safety Stand Down Tool Box Talks

Join in this nationwide effort to help educate our trade professionals about the critical role safety and health play during this global crisis. Together, we can help flatten the curve and keep our jobsites safe.

As an industry, we have an obligation on our jobsites to ensure every individual understands the policies and procedures to keep us safe during the COVID-19 crisis.

Please join ABC of Wisconsin for a statewide 5-10 minute “Safety Stand Down COVID-19” toolbox talk each day from Wednesday, April 8 through Friday, April 10 to drive home the importance of this issue. To comply with social distancing requirements, you may need to conduct more than one meeting with rotating audiences of 10 or fewer to maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more.

We encourage you to use this template COVID-19 Action Plan to distribute to field operations and management within your offices. Additionally, you are encouraged to use these Toolbox Talks to aid in your discussions:

Many industry and labor affiliates have joined in this effort and will be communicating with their audiences. We are proud that efforts like the Safety Stand Down will extend beyond ABC of Wisconsin, and extend across the entire nation.

As with any new policy, we encourage you to review this with your management team and legal counsel. For any questions, comments or concerns regarding this effort, please contact Don Moen, ABC of Wisconsin Safety and HR Director at dmoen@abcwi.org or 608-332-5827.
